Apart from Albatros, Fokker, Pfalz, AEG, DFW, Shuumltte-Lanz, Euler, Siemens-Schuckert, LFG Roland, Oeffag, Lohner, Aviatik, Lloyd and WKF all built Dreideckers, with varying degrees of success.

The highly successful advent of the Sopwith Triplane over the Western Front initiated a triplane craze in the German aviation industry. Just about every German aiecraft manufacturer produced at least one triplane fighter. The most successful was the famous Fokker Dr-1. This one, basically an Albatros D-V with three wings, proved considerably less so.
