Hence its heavier then the Mig19(J-6)but due to upgraded elctronics suite it has shorter radius (+/- 500 Km)but it has more armament possibilities (1000kg internal). It was the first Chinese airplane with nuclear capabilities. Naval version exists as torpedo bomber and anti ship misile carrier. Trainer version was proposed in 2005, nothing that the first Q-5 was produced in 1965. Since then it underwent many upgrades to the extend that there is a precision bomber variant with comparable accuracy of the paveway laserguidance system. that's what recycling is all about. Pakistan and N-Korea are know clients of Q-5
