| The third type to be procured by the US Army Air Service in its PW category was a single-seat biplane fighter designated PW-3 from Orenco (Ordnance Engineering Corporation). Known by the company as the Model D2, this design was evolved from the earlier Orenco D, and was to have been powered by the 239kW Wright H engine. Only one of these aircraft was delivered to McCook Field during 1921 but it was never flown, and in the same year all three were condemned and scrapped.
