| Herbert C Schneider, e-mail, 09.11.2007 21:11 The story of the transatlantic recon flight over Michigan and near New York City is very interesting, particularly because, as of the 1943 operational date, the United States and Germany had already been at war for over a year. Anna Kreisling a neighbor of mine was a co-pilot on the longest Recon flight of World War II. She took off from Bergen, Norway and overflew Michigan and New York City before landing at a Luftwaffe base in France. reply |
