Dassault-Breguet 1150 Atlantic

The Atlantic is a twin-engined maritime patrol aircraft, of which 40 were delivered to the French Navy (three of which were passed on to the Pakistan Air Force), 20 to the German Navy, 9 to the Royal Netherlands Navy and 18 to the Italian Navy. Production of the standard version ended in 1974.

Designed under the auspices of the NATO Armaments Committee, the Atlantic first flew in prototype form on 21 October 1961. The current model carries a crew of 12, with a further 12 making up a relief crew when on long-range patrol missions. The aircraft's main weapons are carried in a bay in the unpressurised lower fuselage. Weapons include all NATO standard bombs, 175kg depth charges, HVAR rockets, homing torpedoes (including types such as the Mk 44 Brush or LX4 with acoustic heads) or four underwing air-to-surface missiles with nuclear or high-explosive warheads.
