Built at the end of the 19th century, the Puhtitsa Russian Orthodox Convent is currently home to 160 nuns and novices. The Pühtitsa Convent sits on the site of an ancient Estonian sacred mound. The unique architecture of this colorful complex as well as the surrounding park, outbuildings and grand gate towers make a visit a memorable experience.
