The 3km long gravel ridge in Kassari, stretching to the sea - Sääre Tirp (1) - is one of the most beautiful and loved places of Hiiumaa. The story of the formation of the place is connected with a legend according to which Leiger (2), an ancient hero of the island, attempted to build a bridge between the Islands of Hiiumaa and Saaremaa.
