Formed in 1946 by take-over of Johnson Aircraft Inc.
of Fort Worth, Texas. Johnson had designed the Rocket
cabin monoplane in 1941, with molded plastic plywood
construction and Lycoming engine. The Rocket 185
received its Approved Type Certificate in April 1946.
