Established by Imperial Ordnance issued June 1938, incorporating aircraft manufacturing facilities of Manchuria Aviation Company at Harbin which developed Hayabusa sixpassenger cabin monoplane airliner, powered by Nakajima Kotobuki radial. Acquired Tachikawa Hikoki Kabushiki Kaisha (q.v.) in 1940. Produced wartime combat aircraft and trainers.
