Established 1981 by Swedish companies concerned with development and production of the Gripen fighter, namely Saab, Volvo Aero Corporation, Ericsson Radar Electronics (now Ericsson Microwave Systems), and FFV Aerotech; Ericsson-Saab since joined. Continues to act as contractor on Gripen program for FMV, but fighter is developed and manufactured by Saab AS Gripen, a business unit of Saab AB division of Saab Group (q.v.). Back to the letter I
