American pilot G. W. Beatty visited Britain in 1912 to demonstrate the Gyro aero engine. Returned 1913 and founded flying-school at Hendon. Built biplane 1916, later powered by engine of own construction. Began construction of aircraft and components in 1918. Back to the letter B
