Klaatu83, e-mail, 25.02.2012 22:42 This aircraft may not seem very unusual today, but it was considered to be quite revolutionary when it was first flown, early in 1938. Powered by two 425-hp Wright engines, it featured a tricycle landing gear with a hydraulically-steerable nose wheel and hydraulic brakes on all three wheels. It actually bears favorable comparison with airplanes produced fifteen or twenty years later. reply |
