Thurston joined Schweizer Aircraft Corporation in 1972 and they continued to market the aircraft as the TSC-1A2 Teal II until selling the rights to the Teal Aircraft Corporation of Markham Ontario in 1976. This company developed the the Teal TSC-1A3 Marlin but they went the way of so many others in 1979. A couple of outfits toyed with the plane in South Africa, but this came to nothing.
