Barry, 29.03.2016 17:08 A proof of concept machine using blown flaps and powered by a 1,000 shp Avco Lycoming T53 turboshaft engine mounted in the fuselage and driving two large four bladed wing mounted propellers. After a 21 flight test programme for the U.S.Army the plane crashed and was then transferred to NASA for further tests before being retired to the U.S.Army museum.
