Jesse F. Shepherd ,Sr., e-mail, 04.09.2012 04:50 I have proprioatory prints of the Dragonfly, side and front. Flown in at Randolph field and taken by a friend back then . I also have a completed 75 in span Radio controlled model of this ship. I design RC models on CAD. It has full working flaps and slats and even has spring Shock landing gear. I has taken about 29 ft of printing paper to contain all the detail.I had commercial three views available but found fault in them and corrected the errors by using my photos. I have been building since 1936 and used to be nationally known but now that i am 91 and still drawing but no longer competing, I am content. Research Aviation and engineering has been my life's career and hobby.I am an AMA pioneer and am an AMA Fellow, #4257. Fell free to email me. Jesse reply | Herman, e-mail, 29.11.2011 07:39 Hi can anyone tell me where I can get a good bulding plan to this amasing aircraft.I been looking all over, but its like running into a wall. reply | Klaatu, e-mail, 05.05.2011 04:35 Designed to satisfy an Army Air Corps requirement for an observation plane, this had huge flaps and slots to achieve good STOL performance, similar to the Fiesler Storch and Westland Lysander. However, the Army found that the observation mission could be fulfilled just as effectively by smaller, lighter, simpler and less-expensive aircraft such as the Piper Cub, Aeronca and Taylorcraft. reply | Bob C, e-mail, 02.03.2011 19:05 Believe it was experimental as early STOL observation plane built in San Diego.. reply |
| Kurt, e-mail, 16.03.2009 03:55 This aircraft looks enough like a Fiesler Storch to have been built from the German plans and specifications. reply |
