HOMEBUILT	Virtual Aircraft Museum / USA / Scaled Composites

Two-seat delta wing canard with a pusher propeller. The first prototype flew in June 1972. Further development of these ideas lead to a 'Mini-viggen', which in 1974-76 became the "Varieze", the most popular of Rutan's designs.

John. I have a set of plans for the VariViggen that I found in my dad,s stuff as he has passed away. I am a pilot and have built a couple of airplanes but have no desire to build a Vari Viggen. These plans appear to be copies and not originals. Would you be intersted in buying them?

Do you still have a set of wing plans. I realize it has been a few years, but I am toying with the idea of doing a composite version. I had a friend in Tulsa who got me back into flying and we hangered together who built a Viggen. Ken Winters who passed while I was out of state. his plane is N31WW that you see in German Colors any time you search for a variviggen. Please let me know if you get this. Thank you

Good day sir, I noticed that you mentioned that you have plans for the sp wings for the vari viggen. Would it be possible that you can perhaps email me a copy of those plans since I am currently trying to gather every bits and pieces of the original vari viggen plans that I can get. I want to build this aircraft yet there is very little info regarding the plans for this aircraft which leaves me to make due with what I have.

I would really appreciate if you can perhaps assist me in this regard with a copy of those sp wing plans.

G'day,
I have a VV project with fuselage, inner wings built but not skinned, controls fitted, timber for fins, all fibreglass panels, undercarriage legs, nosegear parts, NO outer wings (anyone got plans for SP wings?),engine or instruments. It is one of two known to have got close to completion in Australia. If I can complete it I have a Mazda Renesis rotary to push it along.Is anyone out there still building?

Hi Todd,My dad was a pilot and had an interest in this plane, which spilled over to me. How does this fly? The front wing moves obviously, but what about back? Any models anywhere?
