Aerocar COOT

A light-weight homebuilt amphibian first flown in 1969.

Followed by Super Coot first flown in February 1971. Basic structure is of wood but the tailboom and tail unit can be of steel tube and fabric, wood monocoque or all-metal construction. The 'float-wing' configuration permits rough-water operation and all control surfaces are statically balanced. The wings, tailplane and elevators all fold. Over 400 Sooper-Coots are under construction, with 50 already flying.
