Barry, 09.09.2016 13:39 Known as the "Manazuru" (white-naped crane) by the Japanese and by the allies as the Buzzard, there were only a handful completed. They needed an aircraft the size of a Mitsubishi Ki 67 or a Nakajima Ki 49, which were both in short supply, to get it off the ground. It was decided to add engines and hence we have the Ki-105 Otori which can be found elsewhere on this site.

The Me 321 did not have a twin-boom tail and had nearly twice the wingspan at 55m to the Ku-7's 35m. reply | bveihua, 18.06.2011 07:12 Lead Test Pilot on the type, said that it was a pig to fly and had serious doubts about it ever becoming a useful aircraft! reply | Mike Dunn, e-mail, 09.05.2011 15:58 Japan had no use for a glider like the Gigant! The Jerries should have let it go too! Hanna Reitsch the Lead Test Pilot on the type, said that it was a pig to fly and had serious doubts about it ever becoming a useful aircraft! reply |
