Built by the Tokyo Gas and Electric Company in 1937 to set a new distance record, it covered 7,239 miles over a closed course in May of 1938. Here are some specifications:

Empty wt.: 9,314 lb
Loaded wt.: 20,317 lb
Engine: 1 x Kawasaki BMW VIII water cooled V-12, 715 hp
Max. speed: 155 mph
Cruising speed: 114 knots @ 2,000 meters
Range: 7,239 miles
Service ceiling: 11,200 ft
The range record was broken again in August 1939 by a Savoia-Marchetti SM.82 that flew 8,038 miles non-stop.
