| The ATR 42 and ATR 72 are a family of twin-turboprop short-haul regional airliners built in France by ATR (Avions de Transport Regional). The ATR 42 seats up to 60 passengers, while the ATR 72 seats 74 passengers. Both aircraft are operated by a 2 person crew.
The ATR 42 is the initial version and was announced in 1981, having its first flight August 16, 1984. The ATR 72 is the basic ATR 42 stretched by 4.5 m (14 ft 9 in) and with modified wings. The ATR 72 was announced at the 1985 Paris Air Show and made its maiden flight on October 27, 1988. Exactly one year after that, on October 27 1989, commuter airline Kar Air of Finland became the first company to put the plane into service.
John Kelly, e-mail, 05.04.2024 05:32 I have a ATR 72 500 for sale or long-term lease. Email me. reply | Brianna Hernandez, e-mail, 31.01.2024 08:15 My credit score was in the low 500’s before I found JerryLink Credit Group. They were able to remove the negative items (Judgment, collections, inquiries, card debt) that were dragging me down and allowed me to purchase a new car for my family with a score over 800 in just a week! I think Mr. Jerry and his team are currently the best in terms of credit repairs. You can reach out to them via mail: JERRYLINKGROUP at GMAIL dot COM, thank me later. reply | Ramdowar Rajcoomar, 13.07.2023 19:07 Checking reply |

E-mail: chochkov@aero-x.eu reply | Carl Quinn, e-mail, 22.07.2010 22:30 One of these crashed on Chicago to Columbus flight due to ice build up on wing leading edges. Rubber boot continuous operation believed to be primary cause. Boot formed a larger ice bulge on leading edge instead of breaking ice as designed if used intermittently. reply | Brian, e-mail, 26.05.2010 19:00 How many questions will people ask before they see NO ONE IS ANSWERING?!?!?!?! DONKEYS!!! reply | VIPUL RAWAL, e-mail, 02.04.2010 10:08 ITS A NICE PLANE....BUT ITS ONLY PROBLEM IS TO WORK AT IT. reply | DSG, e-mail, 16.03.2010 00:56 I worked for a short time in the 80's as a ramp runner for the smaller planes. The ATR was one of them. Maybe I know enough to scare me, but I know they were the ones that crashed in the WInter because of unbalance of snow and Ice. How Safe are they to Fly really? From Ft. Myers to Miami. reply |
