| Gurkee, e-mail, 26.06.2009 07:40 Marut was the first jet aircraft made by India. It did not succeed as it had many flaws..The aircraft engine was taken from Ajit(Gnat)..Two of Gnat's engine were put in Marut. The aircraft was too bulky and the was underpowered. reply | Agnaye, e-mail, 22.06.2009 07:34 The project that led to the Marut was headed by the legendary German designer Dr. Kurt Tank who is also known as the person behind the Focke Wulf Fw190. The Marut however was not a particularly successful aircraft and was soon replaced by the Russian MiG-27 as the choice strike fighter for the Indian Air Force. reply | oscar Lacoste, e-mail, 08.07.2008 03:30 uno de los problemas de este avión fue su planta motor, muy deficiente.
