| Designed as a replacement for the very successful Messerschmitt Bf 109, the He 100 failed to win production orders. Nevertheless the 12 He 100D-1 built were eventually flown by Luftwaffe pilots as home-defence fighters. Power was provided by a Daimler-Benz DB 601 engine. On 30 March 1939 He 100V8 set a new world absolute speed record of 746.604km/h at the hands of Flugkapitan Hans Dieterle.

Gatenbee, e-mail, 28.06.2009 03:15 Steve - no it wasn't. Carry on sucking your Dad's dick. There you go. reply | leo rudnicki, e-mail, 09.04.2009 06:13 Shame about steve. The Heinkel 100D was not put in production because Heinkel builds bombers, OK? It's a personality thing.Ernst Udet flew (and burned out) one of the racing versions (no radiator). He liked everything but the flashing warning lights on the panel. Easier to build than the HE112 due to straight lines, retractable rad, wide track gear. Many student pilots cracked up in 109's taking off and landing. They never put older models into combat since they were wrecked by students. The HE280 didn't have a chance (fighter) and the HE219 was only built in minimal numbers. Big propaganda campaign with different unit markings made it look like a service model but it was a sham like the paper markings taped to the racers so they would look like line fighters. Some RAF pilots reported encounters but it was bad tea. reply | Ralph, 27.03.2009 17:44 Yes Steven, we ALL know that. reply | STEVEN, e-mail, 11.11.2008 02:11 DID YOU KNOW THAT I AM A GAY FAGGOT WHO JUST TYPE IN CAPS AND I LOVE TO SUCK AND I THINK I KNOW EVERY THING BUT I DON'T BECAUSE IM TO BUSY SUCKING ON MY DAD DICK. reply |
| Xiaohan, 18.10.2008 08:12 Why was it beaten by the Focker Wulf if it's speed is so fast? Is it because of manuevability or it;s weak, BF109G like weapons. reply | STEVEN, e-mail, 26.05.2007 19:03 DID YOU KNOW THAT EIGHT OF THIS AIRCRAFT ( HE 100D ) WAS TAKING PART IN THE OPERATION BODENPLATE ON JANUARY 1945 reply |
