The engine was a pair of DB605 coupled together to form a DB610 with an output of 2,950 h.p. which drove a single four bladed propeller. The crew of three occupied a pressure cabin with room for two observers. The engine overheated constantly and with money running out this one off only achieved some forty hours flying time before it was grounded and eventually scrapped.
