Barry, 19.11.2015 18:22 Developed from the HP 19 Hanley, the Hendon was produced following an order under specification 25 /23 for 6 two seat torpedo bombers from the Air Ministry. The first to fly did so on 7th July 1924 and all the remaining six had done so by the following September. The aircraft was found to be tail heavy when carrying a torpedo and most of the aeroplanes were used in tests on slotted flaps. All were retired in 1927 reply |
