Oldgysgt, e-mail, 01.11.2015 21:42 The Stampe et Vertongen SV.10 was one of those delightfully strange looking aircraft that came out of the mid 30's. It was intended to be a Bomber and heavy Fighter. Power was provided by twin 780 hp Gnome radials and it had a crew of three. The first flight was early in 1935, but on the third flight, the SV.10 crashed while landing; possibly because of pilot error. Both the pilot and chief-designer, who was on board at the time, were killed. Further development was abandon. reply |
